Founder

Roddy Coltart is Founder & Director of Halcourt Search, a specialist search firm partnering with private equity and investor-backed businesses across Europe to appoint senior data, analytics and AI leadership.

Roddy has specialised exclusively in data, analytics and AI leadership for the past five years, operating primarily at C-1 and C-2 level. He works closely with investors and management teams to build technology functions that drive value creation – whether that's in high-growth scale-ups, portfolio companies or complex enterprise environments.

Prior to founding Halcourt Search, Roddy spent nearly a decade in executive search and recruitment. Most recently, he led the Data, Analytics and Technology practice at a specialist private equity executive search firm, where he built and scaled the function across Europe. Before this, he worked at a global recruitment business, establishing and growing the European data and analytics practice.

Roddy founded Halcourt Search to provide a value-led and advisory approach to senior technology appointments – combining deep domain expertise with honest judgement and long-term partnership. His experience spans cloud and data platform builds, large-scale transformation programmes and leadership hires at critical inflection points of growth.

Outside of work, Roddy has a passion for sport – notably football, rugby, cricket and tennis – and when he's not watching or playing, he's likely to be spending time with his young family or walking his tireless beagle.
